  • American Recovery & Reinvestment Act - Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Funded ProgramsDocument Download In response to the substantial needs of the states, the U.S. Congress authorized and President Obama signed into law national assistance through the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act)”. This funding contains provisions to help state and local agencies retain or hire personnel, develop new innovative programs, and allow successful programs to continue by supplementing such awards as the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).

  • Victim's Legal Resource ProgramDocument Download The Victim’s Legal Resource Center at the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento operates the states toll-free 1-800-VICTIMS information and referral line, which is staffed by McGeorge law students.
  • Victim Witness Assistance ProgramDocument Download The Victim/Witness Assistance Program is designed to assist victims/witnesses of violent crime by providing emotional support, referral services, and insight into the processes of the criminal justice system.
  • Child Maltreatment Investigation Protocol and Training: Fatal and Severe Non-Fatal ProgramDocument Download This program will provide assistance to the agents investigating maltreatment cases so they may better understand the dynamics of the offense, as well as enhance networking by increasing communication, coordination, and collaboration on these serious cases.
  • Children Exposed to Domestic Violence Specialized Response ProgramDocument Download The primary purpose of the Children Exposed to Domestic Violence Specialized Response Program is to identify and respond to the needs of children exposed to domestic violence.
  • Extended Forensic Evaluation ProgramDocument Download The purpose of the Extended Forensic Evaluation (EFE) Program is to identify forensic interviewers to be trained on the EFE model; conduct extended forensic evaluations on children when appropriate, and collect data and track case information to determine the efficiency and efficacy of the EFE model.

  • Victim Services Communication ProgramDocument Download This program, upon request of the victim, will provide notification of parole dates, parole hearings, escapes, and deaths for inmates and parolees under the jurisdiction of CDCR; assist victims who request special conditions of parole; intervene on behalf of victims; and provide referrals to local victim service providers.
