- American Recovery & Reinvestment Act - Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Funded Programs
In response to the substantial needs of the states, the U.S. Congress authorized and President Obama signed into law national assistance through the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act)”. This funding contains provisions to help state and local agencies retain or hire personnel, develop new innovative programs, and allow successful programs to continue by supplementing such awards as the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). - American Recovery & Reinvestment Act - Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Funded Programs

This program was created to support the Victim/Witness Assistance Program service providers in California by ensuring program oversight, updating and maintaining the statutory victim entry-level and advanced advocate training curricula pursuant to Penal Code § 13835.10, and training and certifying coordinators of victim/witness assistance centers. - Elder Abuse Advocacy and Outreach Program
The program is designed to boost the level of services available to elder and dependant adults who become victims of crime. - Special Emphasis Victims Assistance Program
This program provides additional grant assistance for funded Victim/Witness Assistance Centers to provide direct services and outreach to special crime victims and underserved populations - Special Victims Assistance Program
This program provides grant assistance for non-profit organizations to provide direct services and outreach to special crime victims in underserved populations focusing on a particular violent crime/s. - Victim's Legal Resource Program
The Victim’s Legal Resource Center at the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento operates the states toll-free 1-800-VICTIMS information and referral line, which is staffed by McGeorge law students. - Victim Witness Assistance Program
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program is designed to assist victims/witnesses of violent crime by providing emotional support, referral services, and insight into the processes of the criminal justice system. - Child Maltreatment Investigation Protocol and Training: Fatal and Severe Non-Fatal Program
This program will provide assistance to the agents investigating
maltreatment cases so they may better understand the dynamics of the offense, as well as
enhance networking by increasing communication, coordination, and collaboration on these
serious cases. - Children Exposed to Domestic Violence Specialized Response Program
The primary purpose of the Children Exposed to Domestic Violence Specialized
Response Program is to identify and respond to the needs of children exposed to
domestic violence. - Extended Forensic Evaluation Program
The purpose of the Extended Forensic Evaluation (EFE) Program is to identify forensic
interviewers to be trained on the EFE model; conduct extended forensic evaluations on
children when appropriate, and collect data and track case information to determine the
efficiency and efficacy of the EFE model. - Law Enforcement Specialized Units Program
The Law Enforcement Specialized Unit Program assists law enforcement agencies in
California to enhance or create specialized units to focus on the handling of violent crimes
against adult women, including sexual assault, domestic violence, and stalking. - Victim Services Communication Program
This program, upon request of the victim, will provide notification of parole dates, parole hearings,
escapes, and deaths for inmates and parolees under the jurisdiction of CDCR; assist victims
who request special conditions of parole; intervene on behalf of victims; and provide referrals
to local victim service providers. - Victim Services Enhancement Program - Juvenile
The Victim Services Enhancement Program (VJ) program provides direct services to victims of youthful offenders committed to the Division of Juvenile Justice. - CJA Meeting Agenda - December 2, 2009
